Notably, no Dreambreaker Full Break counter on this one. I went back to the FFIV Dreambreaker and got the kill this time, in 30.31s. Seems like Slowga is game over if Aphmau isn't ready to remove it instantly.Įdit: I defeated it a couple more times, but those ran longer because the awakenings expired.Īnd again. On the winning run, I think I lucked into pushing the phase before Slowga. I went back right away and tried to clean that up into a sub-30, but so far I haven't even managed to beat it a second time. Shantotto - Sync, AASB, Limit Break, AOSB With Curilla and Aphmau's new record boards, I went back and beat the FFXI Dreambreaker! These really do get easier as you learn Argent Odin's shared patterns. Shantotto Sync/AASB, Edge AASB, Garnet Chain/AASB, Cait Sith, Elarra Red's HA completely shredded Odin's defenses. Rydia Sync + 2 AASBs (more stacked than I remembered), Red AASB, Emperor Chain, Cait Sith, Elarra. Lots of crap and dupes with just Noctis AASB as a bright spot, then suddenly Onion Knight Sync today. And Prompto actually managed to break the cap sometimes with his awakening and Trinity Grenade, not easy with low attack and no record board. Edge exhausted his AASB, carried right on blasting away with his lightning/water USB, then saved the party's behinds with his trusty SSB and trashed Odin with a full power Limit Break Overstrike too. Lightning did her thing with Sync and Awakening. Physical lightning-weak Argent Odin took a lot less time than I expected, once I got started on it. I wanted Serah's ice/water awakening back then, and Dr. Nearly blew the party to bits by triple-casting with fire pillars up, too. LBGs would be so much better if they had two uses or gave infusion stacking.Įdge pretty much carried the team again, with his high hit count and ability to ignore infusion. I actually put a Limit Break Glint to good use, giving Edge a second lightning infusion. Update: Final Fantasy IV hosts a Magic Leviathan fish fry: I imagine Edge can wreck magic Leviathan too, but he might be *too* good for magic Ifrit. I had Vincent's awakening too, but he didn't get enough extra gauge to use it. Eblan Tactics almost always broke cap even if the other hits didn't. With Edward's support, Edge ripped through phase 1, lost his infusion, then ramped up steadily and pushed right through phase 2 and into 3, while Terra was still getting her awakenings and glint online.

Edge was crazy-good, even more than I expected.
